Saturday Stirrings

I’ve seen this posted around the ‘net with different fruit pie fillings.  My favorite is strawberry.  This is a very weight watchers friendly recipe but I don’t remember the point value right now.

Strawberry Angel Food Cake

1 box angel food cake mix
1 can pie filling, about 20 oz., I’ve tried strawberry and blueberry

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 9×13 inch pan with vegetable oil spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix and pie filling, mixing until well blended.  Mix gently at first or the cake mix will puff up in your face :)
  3. Pour batter into prepared 9×13 inch pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and cut into squares.

Wow – sounds like something I’ll have to try! You really don’t have to add eggs or anything?
